"What If Everything Happened On Purpose?"
The Story Behind Stump and Soul
I keep a tree stump on my desk.
It's not pretty. It's rough, scarred, and cut off at what looks like the worst possible place. If you didn't know better, you'd think it was dead.
But here's what I know about stumps: they're not endings. They're beginnings.
A stump still has roots. Still has life. Still has everything it needs to grow again—sometimes even stronger than before.
That's exactly what happened to me.
The Question That Changed Everything
For years, every time something difficult happened, I asked myself:
"What if everything in my life came into my life as a part of my purpose?"
What if the challenging job was actually training?
What if the painful transition was actually God's push toward my calling?
What if the stump wasn't the end—but the foundation?
I spent years learning business operations at Bloomin Garden Center, where I discovered how seasons work—how to plant, cultivate, and harvest. I worked in corporate cybersecurity, where I learned systems and operations. I served in the military, where I learned that no one gets left behind.
And through it all, I carried this fire: a passion for helping others build successful, purpose-driven lives.
But I didn't see how it all fit together until my corporate chapter ended.
The Transition I Didn't Know I Needed
When I left corporate America, I had a choice: feel defeated or feel deployed.
I chose deployed.
Because I realized: Everything I'd learned—the good AND the painful—was actually my curriculum.
My life wasn't random. It was preparation.
From Stump to Soul
That's where the name came from.
Stump = Where you start. The broken place. The "what's left." Your starting point.
Soul = Where you're going. The renewed purpose. The thriving life. Your calling fulfilled.
Stump → Soul = The journey from broken to flourishing.
And I'm not the only one sitting here looking at a stump and wondering if there's more.
This Is For You If:
✓ You've been underestimated or undervalued
✓ You're stuck in a job that doesn't fit your calling
✓ You know you're meant for more but don't know where to start
✓ You want to build a business but feel overwhelmed
✓ You believe God has a purpose for your pain
✓ You're ready to go from surviving to thriving
What I'm Building
Stump and Soul is a network that helps women build purpose-driven family businesses.
It's a 3-phase roadmap:
Phase 1: FAST FORWARD - Discover what you love
Phase 2: TRUE THEATRE - Build your blueprint
Phase 3: GENERATIONALLY SPEAKING - Launch and become living proof
Then you join our network of subsidiaries, helping the next woman coming behind you.
One survivor helps another. One stump becomes a tree. One tree becomes a forest.
Why I'm Sharing This Journey
I'm building this in real-time, and I'm taking you with me.
This blog will share:
The framework I'm creating
Stories of women launching businesses
Lessons I'm learning
The proof that anything is possible with God
Because living proof is more powerful than theory.
The Question I'll Leave You With
Look at your life right now—all of it. The good and the hard. The wins and the losses.
Now ask yourself:
"What if everything in my life came into my life as a part of my purpose?"
What if my stump is actually my strongest foundation?
What if God's been preparing you all along for something bigger than you've imagined?
